Charlie's Excavating and Septic Services runs this website. This page explains what the site collects when you visit or get in touch, and what happens to it.
When you get in touch
If you use the contact form, you send us your name, email address, phone number and your message, plus where the property is and the kind of work you need. It comes to us by email so we can reply. Formspree delivers the form and keeps a copy of each message in its records. We use your details only to answer you and to quote or plan your job. We never sell them, and we never add you to a mailing list without asking.
Visitor numbers
We count visits so we know which pages are useful. The counts come from Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't identify you. For each visit it records the page, the site you came from, your general location (country, region and city), and your type of device and browser. It tells one visitor from another with a code that is thrown away after 24 hours, so nothing links your visits over time. We only ever see the totals, and they're kept for up to a year.
Cookies
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The map on our Contact page comes from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
Where the site runs
The site is hosted on Vercel by OBdesign, the Salt Spring and Victoria web studio that built it. Neither of us sells or shares your information.
Your information
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just email chxssi@gmail.com.
